Vintage Buyer & Assistant Manager Position
We are seeking a Vintage & Secondhand buyer to join our leadership team. This is a full-time position that involves working on the floor in both our stores as well as time spent on regular overnight buying trips (2-4 days). We are looking for a friendly and hardworking person to fill this role.
Required skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge of Vintage and Secondhand clothing grade (ie. brands, styles, fabric)
- Strong organization, communication and leadership skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and abilities in multi-tasking
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Great customer service skills
- Experience buying secondhand
- Ability to lift and move merchandise
- Valid Driver’s License
Role Responsibilities:
- Leading by example in terms of work ethic, time management and customer service
- Obtaining vintage and secondhand stock through in-store buying and buying trips
- Maintaining stock levels and established quality of grade
- Training new staff
- Keeping accurate records of incoming and outgoing buying
- Communicating clearly with management, customers and staff
- Merchandising and store visuals
- Performing other duties as assigned
